I was sick of reading labels on "low carb" foods claiming that they had little to no effect on blood-sugar levels (and not knowing if it was true), so I decided to buy a blood glucose tester and find out for myself. This blog is a random selection of foods that I test, just to see what they really do to blood sugar levels.
I will list the food, the basic details (calories, carbs, and protein) and my before and after blood sugar levels. I'll just take one reading after I eat the food, one hour later. That should give a good indication of the foods effect on blood-sugar levels.
Everyone is different, so however these foods effect me might be different for you.
